F.A.Q

What is the MPRE?

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) is a two hour and five minute test consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE). The MPRE tests your knowledge and understanding of the ethical standards of the legal profession.

When Do I Take the MPRE?

The exam is offered nationwide each March, August, and November, and most students take the exam sometime after their second year of law school. A law school course in ethics is not crucial to your success on the MPRE.

Where Do I Take the MPRE?

Some good news about the MPRE is that, unlike the Bar Exam, you can take it in any state and have your score submitted to another state. In fact, you don?t even need to know where you will be taking the Bar Exam when you take the MPRE. Your score can be transferred at a later date.

How does LawTutors Prepare me for the MPRE?

LawTutors has developed a comprehensive program that WORKS. Our top-ranking MPRE Instructors guide you through tackling the MPRE by using a 3-tier systematic approach:
1. Four weeks before the exam, you should meet with your instructor to go through your “tackling multiple choice tricks” review and formulate a schedule that works for you.
2. During the next three weeks, students will follow their personalized schedule while utilizing the LawTutors method of attacking study questions.
3. One week prior to the exam, students should take a practice exam and go over an intensive review with their instructor.
